Optimal Algorithms for Load Balancing in Optical Burst Switching Networks

Data packet drop can happen in Optical Burst-Switched (OBS) when two data bursts are competing on the same wavelength. Recently, many techniques have been developed to solve this problem but they do not consider congestion. Also, it is necessary balance load system OBS network. The Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) technique be applied determine straight and safest route. However, ACO raises both power utilization as well execution time. In study, Cuckoo Search (CS) methods based approach proposed avoid congestion balancing This strategy evaluates intensity of hotspot then launches rate optimization process that depends their situations. represents available bandwidth, distribution rate, queue size, access also these factors optimized through CS technique. fitness utility adjusts network, solves energy problem. simulation results proved presented evades end-to-end delay possibility drop.
